Time: 6:30pm to ~8pm, then maybe hanging at Reverie afterwardLocation: Powderhorn Park! Current plan is the outfield of the northwest baseball field. This page will be updated if that changes!Weather: We will be in the shade, but it will still be hot, so be prepared to sweat. Rain would be amazing, and we are more likely to play in the rain than to cancel, unless it really pours. Unfortunately no rain is currently forecast. Please bring: * Some water for yourself * A blanket and/or place to sit (optional) * A snack to share (optional) Please wear: * Closed-toe shoes Please do not wear: * Sharp jewelry or clothing that can get caught on things/people/fingersStory: I have been wanting to host "field day" like this for over a year! I'm so excited to enjoy some fun games with you. We - a mix of kids and kids-at-heart - will be engaging together in the spirit of playfulness. Some games will be cooperative, others competitive, but regardless the goal will be - rather than to "win" - to experience playing well together.Plan: Games will start promptly at 6:30pm but do not worry if you show up late! You can jump right in, either right into an ongoing game, or the next one. I'll be guiding us through a set of games largely from the seventies' New Games movement. Some planned games include: Aura, Crab Grab, Octopus Tag, Team Rock/Paper/Scissors, Human Compressor, and more :)Accessibility: Some games will be more physical than others, having us run around, or on the ground, or in physical contact with others. But around half the games will not! Any game can be modified to better fit its players, and no one is required to play any given game - if you don't feel like playing, then don't. Cheerleaders and supportive spectators are essential! Or step aside and make a new friend~Love, Nathan
